                      LOST SOULS

Here I sit in my rocking chair,
Looking out my window and no one is there.
You said that you would be there for me,
Yet there is no one as far as I can see.

 I have gotten tried and old
   Now, I am trying to find my soul
                                                                                            Little did I know?
                                                                                             It was not my time to go.

                                                                                            For you I gave my life,
                                                                                            For you I done what I thought was right.
                                                                                            I am sorry if I let you down,
                                                                                           Yet, why am I the one wearing this frown?

                                                                                          As Soldiers we were friends,
                                                                                          We knew where we were and what we were in.
                                                                                          It was for you that we did what we had too,
                                                                                         Why is it that you could not be true?

                                                                                         When my tour was done,
                                                                                         I came home and had to run.
                                                                                         I could not fight no more,
                                                                                         Because you had closed that door.

                                                                                       Where was my heroes welcome?

                                                                                        I would like to say Thanks to my brothers in battle.
                                                                                        Your life will not be forgotten.
                                                                                        You are with me where ever I am,
                                                                                      Sure know that you are sitting in that promise land.
                                                                            
                                                As you look over the hill Remember you are love for what you did.
